Jennifer A. Klear specializes in media and entertainment counseling and transactions with expertise in pre-broadcast and pre-publication review, licensing, trademark, copyright, development agreements, rights of privacy and publicity, and libel. Jennifer has over 20 years’ experience representing television productions companies, publishers, authors, journalists, start-up companies and other content creators. Prior to founding her solo-practice, Ms. Klear worked for seven years as a Litigation Associate at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP followed by two and a half years in the Business and Commercial Litigation department of Gibbons P.C. EXPERIENCE Ms. Klear has handled numerous State and Federal commercial litigations for several Fortune 500 companies, including two national telecommunications companies. She also has broad-based complex commercial litigation experience having litigated contract, employment, trademark, copyright, and patent issues. First Amendment Counseling and Litigation Ms. Klear has counseled production companies, broadcasters, journalists, newspapers, and online companies on pre- broadcast pre-publication review, defamation and free speech matters in print, Internet, and broadcast. Her experiences include assertions of First Amendment privileges and cases involving student speech, political speech, and reasonable time, place, and manner restrictions.
